Project title: United we stand – interfaith and intersect harmony in Kingri
Taluka Kingri in District Khairpur has been facing increasing levels of sectarian and religiously motivated violence. In presence of these divisions, the community members are at high risk of supporting negative narratives or even joining VE groups. This activity seeks to establish 10 interfaith stakeholders’ groups in two UCs in taluka Kingri and train the groups through a training workshop series to create awareness of the religious and sectarian issues in the selected UCs followed by 50 social community action projects. The implementing partner will work in the targeted community in Taluka Kingri to reduce the increasing religious and sectarian divisions through social action projects such as awareness sessions, sports and cultural activities while engaging about 2,650(direct and indirect) community members including men, women, youth as well as members of diverse religious and sectarian groups.
